Towards environmental friendliness
According to Pinned by K, sustainability is primarily a matter of perseverance and openness. We envision a future where our carbon footprint will decrease. Focusing on a sustainable world is no longer an option we can choose; it must be a priority.
Sustainability is therefore central to the Pinned by K organization and is being further developed as a core value. We believe that a fair and, above all, sustainable clothing industry is possible. Furthermore, we are responsible for improving overproduction and clothing production in a sustainable way. We do this, right down to the cotton fields, the production process, logistics, and even the processing of our waste.
“The ultimate goal is to improve our planet”
The choice of fiber significantly impacts a garment's lifespan and how easily it can be recycled. That's why we choose high-quality raw materials. Our responsibility is to reduce our environmental impact.
Sustainability
Switching to 100% recyclable clothing ultimately revolves around upcycling: the use of pre-consumer materials, or recycled clothing. This is a way for the future to help our planet reduce textile waste and landfill waste.
Recycling mixed-material clothing is challenging because the different fibers are difficult to separate. Pinned by K clothing is largely made of 100% plant-based cotton and can therefore be recycled with current recycling solutions. Pinned by K clothing is also fully traceable, from the plant to the final process, with people and the planet at the core.
Our plans
Pinned by K has plans to use biodegradable shipping materials in the future. We also want to make all our clothing more sustainable in the future. Each garment will therefore have a small carbon footprint.
